England Special Interest Group (SIG)

Are you currently doing genealogy research on ancestors in England? Would you like to learn about English genealogy research? Join our England Special Interest Group.

The England SIG meets on the second Monday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to Noon in the Saddleback Room at Mission Viejo City Hall, directly across the plaza from the library. This is a general discussion and information-sharing group for topics relating to English genealogy research, and English history and culture. We explore specific types of English genealogy records, research methods, websites for English genealogy research, questions from our members about their own personal research. Bring your laptop computer to the meeting — power and wi-fi are available in the meeting room.

No England SIG Meeting – October 14 and November 11

Hi everyone.

This is to let you know that the England SIG will not be meeting on October 14, which would be our next regular date. I will be out of town to attend the week-long British Institute in Salt Lake City. We discussed this at our last meeting in September and agreed that we will not meet in October.

I also said I will check on our November meeting date, which would be on the Veterans Day holiday. The city facility will be closed Nov. 11 so we will also miss our meeting in November.

Therefore, our next regular meeting will on Monday, December 9 in our regular location. I will send a meeting reminder prior to the December meeting. In the meantime, please continue working on finding your English ancestors, and I will look forward to seeing you in December. Regards,

David Flint.
